Almost there

Only two more long runs and the Scotiabankers are ready (we hope)...

Yesterday, 10 of us ran to Science World. The weather co-operated, giving us a cool, cloudy start. At Science World, we ran the wrong way through a 1 and 5-k finish line, and then cheered a bunch of little guys as they ran for the finish of their 1-k. Then we decided to run home the way we ran last week, which (as is getting to be a habit) tacked on a couple of k to our intended distance. Kathy's GPS battery died, so we don't really know how far we went - no matter, because it was fun. Except for the part where we got kicked off (in the nicest way) Commissioner Street by a security guard, who opened the gate so we could cross the tracks and go back onto Powell/Dundas. Next time we'll tell them we're running to the Cannery for brunch or something.

Another group went to Seymour again, but I haven't heard how that went.

Next week is 18k (or 20, if we follow our recent pattern), and then a 20k. And then a short little run before Scotiabank on the 26th.
